Storage facility Terms & Conditions
The T & C's shown below on this website are the ones you're agreeing to by placing an item (caravan / motor home / boat / car etc) in to our storage facility.
Any updates / amendments to these T&C's will only be put here and it is your responsibility to regularly check and make sure you still agree to the T&C's covering Windy Ridge, by leaving your item stored here we will assume you are in full agreement with these T&C's

1. The owners of Windy Ridge cannot accept responsibility or be held liable for any loss or damage to your property whilst stored at Windy Ridge. All caravans, boats, Cars etc are stored entirely at the owners own risk and should be kept fully insured by their owners at all times whilst stored at Windy Ridge.
2. Your rental payment can be made by either standing Order, Online Bank Payment, Cheque or Cash,
for the term of 3, 6 or 12 monthly.
If you wish to pay 1 month at a time, it must be by "standing order" only.
If you pay 3, 6 or 12 months upfront and wish to leave the storage before the end of the term is up, we will gladly reimburse any outstanding money for the time remaining.
3. A deposit of (1 months rental) will be required to secure use of an "Electronic Entry Fob" for entry/exit to the storage site. Your Fob must be returned when you decide to stop storing with us, the fob deposit along with any outstanding rent you have paid will be returned to you as long as "term 4" has been adhered to.
4. We require 1 months notice when you decide to give up the pitch and leave storage, failure to give the required notice will incur forfeiture of some or all of the entry fob deposit.
5. Storage payments must arrive at windy ridge on or before their due date, if you are late with your payments more than once then we will insist that you set up a quarterly standing order or pay 12 months in advance.
It is totally 100% your responsibility to know when your storage payments are due, we do try to send out email reminders but they are purely sent as a courtesy reminder to you, as we really do not wish you to incur late penalty charges.
We send out our reminder invoices to the email address you provide, if you change your email address during your stay here it’s your responsibility to tell us, as our mind reading skills do sometimes leave a little to be desired.
please do yourselves a favour and either pay 6-12 monthly in advance or set up a standing order to avoid any late payment charges, please remember that we don’t like imposing late fees any more than you enjoy receiving them but we are forced in to it by some peoples care free attitude towards paying.
6. Late Payment Charges; there will be a £2 per day late payment charge on top of the normal storage fee, Please avoid late fees by paying promptly or contacting us and explaining the situation, we don’t bite.
In the event of the storage fee being overdue and us having had no contact from yourself a “Legal Lien” will be attached to the stored item and will remain in force until the arrears are settled in full or the “Lien” is otherwise discharged. In the event of a negative response to notification of the Lien, Legal action will be taken to sell the stored item via The Tortes Interference with Goods Act 1977. The outstanding arrears will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale, as will any costs incurred. Any remaining balance will be retained to await your collection. The proprietor warrants that he / she will seek to attain the best price available on current market value.
7. Access is from 8am until 8pm unless prior arrangements have been made (a simple phone call will normally do). If you think you may be back from a trip later than 8pm for any reason just give us ring, let us know and we’ll arrange for you to gain late entry to the storage. If you wish to pick your caravan up earlier than 8am please ring us a day or two in advance, so we can arrange early entry for you.
8. Dogs must be kept on a lead or securely locked in your car the whole time you are at Windy Ridge, if we see any dog not on a lead you will be asked to remove your caravan from storage and your contract terminated, the reason for this is we have ducks, chickens, guinea fowl & rabbits all running about freely and do not want to see them harmed, chased or harassed in any way.
9. Any changes of personal vehicle, home address and email address, telephone numbers or stored Caravans etc must be notified to us as soon as possible to avoid refusal of entry or collection.
10. Caravan owners are required to keep their caravans reasonably clean and tidy, failure to do so will incur a cleaning charge, we will get someone to clean it and send you the bill (only applies in very very extreme cases), there is a water tap & buckets next to the barn, please wash your caravan on your pitch and not by the barn.
11. All connections to gas bottles must be disconnected whilst being stored on the site and preferably removed from the Caravan if you’re storing for a long period.
12. Children are not permitted to wander around the property (insurance restrictions), they must be supervised by a responsible adult (if you happen to know one, please bring them with you, lol) and kept under strict control at all times
13. The contract for the storage pitch is with "You" and you alone and is strictly "NON TRANSFERABLE", you can’t pass the storage pitch to anyone else without first getting permission from the site owners.
14. You will be allocated a parking space when you arrive on site and you must park your caravan in the space provided, unless an alternate space is agreed by speaking to the owners of the site.
You must park your caravan central to your storage pitch and as far back on the pitch as reasonably possible.
15. Please ensure that all items belonging to your Caravan are stored/locked away at all times as we will not be held responsible for loss or damage of these items.
16. No major repairs are to be carried out on site (minor repairs & servicing may be carried out).
If you are having your caravan etc serviced by a mobile servicing company, you MUST be here to meet them and let them in and out (do not under any circumstances give ANYBODY your security fob to let them selves in).
17. By entering into this agreement the plot holder warrants that he/she has both ownership and legal title in the stored goods.
18. Do not allow any one to tail gate you through either the electric gates or through the second set of gates in to the storage, you must stop and make sure the gates are closed and let the other car open the gates for them selves to make sure they really are authorized to enter both Windy Ridge and especially the storage area.
Please ensure you close the second security gate upon entry and exit from the storage facility, even if you’re only popping in for 30 seconds “SHUT THE GATE”.
Failure to shut the gate upon entry/exit will get you removed from storage.

Please take care when using the storage facility and especially when parking your Caravan, It is your responsibility to inform us immediately of any damage you may cause, to either your own property, our property or property belonging to anybody else, all damages must be paid for.
