EHU Meters, the reason they make sense
When the greedy power companies decided to increase the cost of electricity, we had a choice to make, either
(1) close the site for good, which seemed a bit of a shame,
(2) or put the daily pitch price up by £10 per night to cover the extra cost (like a lot of camp sites have done), but to us that doesn't seem fair on those that don't use a lot of electric,
(3) or fork out a fair few quid to install meters to enable us to keep our daily pitch price at a sensible level and leave it up to you as to how much electric you want to use,
we decided putting coin meters that take either £1 or £2 coins would be the fairest & easiest way forward, you can turn up stick a quid in and you're up and running.
Most people over the summer season of 2022 seemed to use on average between 50p and £1.50 per day, but obviously it depends on what you use as to how much it'll cost, fridges, TV's, kettles, lights, microwaves, cost sod all to run.
Our electric is charged at the prevailing rate at the time of your visit, the price you'll pay for the electric will be exactly what it cost us and no more.
Please do not put more credit on the meter than your likely to use, as we do not reimburse any credit left on the meter when you leave.
Don't worry about bringing loads of coins as Barb always has a abundant supply of £1 and £2 coins that she gets from the egg stall.
