Update for 2023 season
Some good news for you Carp fisherman, we've restocked the bigger lake with some really nice Carp
What a good start to the 2023 season we've had, the picture is of Steve with his 12lb 4oz carp, Steve spent 3 days in our holiday cottage and had 6 carp & a gudgeon, the 12lb 4oz was sweetcorn on pole and the 3lb, 4lb, 4lb, 7.5lb & 8.5lb on feeder fished maggot over a bed of flaked maize (the flaked maize is what we feed the our fish and is available to buy from us at £1.50 per kilo if you wish), lets hope the season carries on as it's started.

This is not a boring one species carp lake, it's more of an old school general course fishing venue, where you can catch Roach, Rudd, Gudgeon, Tench, Bream and have a good chance of a nice Carp now and then if your lucky. We have quite a few Carp in the lake up to around the 12lb mark, I'm hoping that we're gonna have a really good 2023 season with all the extra Carp we've put in this year.
Maggot are defo the best bait to use here if your happy catching Roach, Rudd and Gudgeon, luncheon meat & sweet corn has been tempting the Tench & Carp, especially if fished in the margins over a bed of ground bait, the trick seems to be plenty of ground baiting to attract the critters to your swim. (we've recently had a few Carp caught on feeder fished pineapple or krill semi popup boilies). If you do happen to get lucky and catch a nice fish, be it a Roach, Tench, Bream, Carp etc, please take a picture and send it to us so we can add it to our website gallery, it'd be nice to have you in the shot with the fish if at all possible. scroll down to see more pictures |
