A little reminder to our lovely camp site & Cottage guests "Fishing is not free", also if you fish for 10 minutes or 10 hours it still costs the same. please pay for your fishing either on the day you fish or at the very latest the day before your due to leave.
we allow a few Day Tickets to the General Public (please ring us on 07989 819478 if you fancy a days fishing).
Please be aware that this is not a one species carp lake, we do have carp in the lakes but it's more of a general course fishing venue, where you may catch a nice carp every now and then if your lucky, if you want to be guaranteed to catch fish, make sure you bring some maggots or casters.
The lakes have a good head of really lovely healthy fish, including Tench, Bream, skimmers, Carp, Roach, Rudd & Gudgeon.
Maggot/casters are defo the best bait to use here ( luncheon meats been tempting the Tench recently) especially if fished in the margins over a bed of ground bait mixed with 2 mm pellet, the trick for 2021 & 2022 seemed to be regularly ground baiting little and often.
If you do happen to get lucky and catch a nice fish, be it a Roach, Tench, Bream, Carp etc, please take a picture and send it to us so we can add it to our website gallery, it'd be nice to have you in the shot with the fish if at all possible. scroll down to see pictures
